Dear Fellow Soccer Fans,

While we are delighted to welcome any and all soccer players into our programs, we are now at a point where we are unable to add any players to either our Competitive (Travel) Program or our Recreational (In-House) Program for the on-going seasons.

The next Soccer opportunities will be:

Competitive Program:

CC United Soccer Club's Fall Season. Check back to this website in early July for sign-up

Recreational Programs:
While CC United Soccer Club only offer Recreational Soccer in the Spring/Summer we are aware of the following programs:
The Chanhassen Athletic Association (http://www.chanhassenathleticassociation.org/soccer.php ) and
The City of Chaska Park & Rec (http://www.chaskacommunitycenter.com/
CC United Soccer Club is not affiliated with either but based on past feedback we believe that both run good recreational programs in the fall. Please check with them for details.

  THUNDER CAMP

by posted 05/06/2008

What is your Soccer Player doing the first week of summer vacation?

CC United is proud once again to host Minnesota's only camp where you can be coached by someone during the week, then go watch them play professional soccer the following weekend.

The Minnesota Thunder and Minnesota Lightning are bringing their camp to the Chaska Soccer Complex by the Chaska Middle Schools during the week of June 9th.

While not all the coaches are professional soccer players, all the camps my son has attended over the past five years have had several starters at each camp.

Please go to the Thunder Website for information and to register. Here is a link (http://www.mnthunder.com/igsbase/igstemplate.cfm?SRC=SP&SRCN=campdisplay&GnavID=3&SnavID=5)

  Navigating the Website

by posted 11/14/2007

Navigating the Website...
Welcome to the CC United Website. If you are visiting the website for the first time, you will find that our club offers two different programs...Competitive and Recreational. The Competitive program is our traveling soccer league for players ages 9-18. These players go through a tryout in August for team placement for the following summer. The competitive season runs from February - July. Click on the Competitive tab at the top of this window to find links to documents, training schedules, volunteer opportunities, information about tryouts, etc. Competitive teams will also use the All Teams tab at the top of the window to view their team rosters and specific team schedules.

The other program we offer is our Recreational league. This small-sided format is excellent for players ages 4-13 that are primarily interested in fun, fitness and friendship while playing in their local community. Click on the Recreational tab at the top of this window to find links to program information, playing days, field locations, etc. Recreational teams will also use the All Teams tab at the top of the window to view their team rosters and specific team schedules.

The Documents tab at the top of this window is used to locate all of the club's documents for either the Recreational or the Competitive programs.

  Weather Related Concerns

by posted 11/14/2007

Weather Related Concerns...
If the fields are determined to be unplayable (usually by the City of Chanhassen, Chaska, Victoria or Carver) or weather concerns are making a game unplayable, CCSC will post a note here on the website as soon as we are notified. If you arrive to the field before a notice can be placed on the website, then it is the responsibility of the Center referee to decide. The following link is to the Minnesota Youth Soccer website and speaks to the guidelines to follow:
http://www.mnyouthsoccer.org/weather.cfm
Tom Brenton, our Referee Coordinator, has told the referees that if they hear thunder, they must get the teams off the field and wait 30 minutes from the point in time when they last hear or see any indication of bad weather. CC United coaches should be supporting our referee’s decision should the visiting coach feel compelled to play due to distance traveled, re-scheduling concerns or any other factor clouding their judgment.
