General Information & FAQs...
Q: What is the CC United Soccer Club?
A: CC United is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide the youth of our community with a quality soccer program. This will be accomplished by promoting sportsmanship, fun, teamwork and leadership while developing soccer skills through instruction and competitive play for Chanhassen, Chaska and Victoria communities.
Q: Are you affiliated with CAA, Chaska Park & Rec or Chan Park & Rec?
A: No, CC United operates independently of these organizations under the direction the CC United Board and with the help of two full-time employees; the Director of Coaching and Club Administrator and several part time employees. The club relies on many volunteers as well as sponsorships and fundraising.
Q: What does your program include?
A: Our program includes summer recreational and competitive soccer programs as well as a fall competitive program.
Q: What’s the difference between recreational and traveling soccer?
A: Our summer recreational soccer program includes 1,200 youth, ages 4-13 for both boys and girls. The season typically runs late April through June (9-weeks) and consists of one practice and one game per week. The summer competitive program includes 750 youth, ages 8-19 for both boys and girls. The season begins in February with indoor preseason training and runs through late July. Teams compete against West Metro Area teams within the Minnesota Youth Soccer Association (MYSA). These teams generally practice/play 2-4 times per week and compete in 2-3 tournaments during the summer. Teams are coached by licensed coaches who focus on both age appropriate technical and tactical instruction as directed by the Director of Coaching to further player development.
Q: How does the fall program differ?
A: We only facilitate a competitive program in the fall for 200 youth, ages 8-14 for both boys and girls. The season runs late August through late October and competes against West Metro teams within MYSA. These teams generally practice 1-2 times per week and play a game on Saturdays or Sundays throughout the season. Teams are coached by licensed coaches who focus both on age appropriate technical and tactical instruction as directed by the Director of Coaching to further player development.
Q: Do you have anything in the winter?
A: There are training opportunities in the winter through clinics facilitated by the Director of Coaching from January to March. Traveling coaches may also work independently with their respective teams.
